Children's Cancer House

Our Philosophy

It is our view, healing for a child starts with love then a story—a story of triumphant song, laugh, play, cry and dance. It starts with an age relevant story with thoughtful listening and careful speaking. Our day and night camp programs address and honor each child and their family’s very personal story. Our time is usually filled with creative storytelling, fun and exciting activities experienced through interactive arts by everyone. At times, we will all be together and at other times in small groups camping around the grounds listening to each other within nature to hear the whispers of renewal, revival and grace. There will be one-on-one time with our volunteer instructors, youth workers, staff and our creative director for every child and their family. Each time we are together will be packed with compelling activities including but not limited to art therapy, pet therapy, drama therapy and just plain ole fun!
